What was the name of that gorilla show on KCET.?

A couple of months ago I saw some show on KCET about a baby gorilla who was sort of outsider and as he grew older he got mean and eventually became like the king gorilla. I think his name was something like Kako.

There is a gorilla which speaks sign language, named "Koko", but she is female.

I wonder if you are speaking of a male gorilla named "Michael", or possibly "Timmy"?
