The saying is: VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE.
It's an Idiom in the English language. Put the statement above in Google and get lots of sites.

It means life is exciting when you try different types of experiences. Such as, not going to the same place for vacation every year, or trying a new spice or flavoring in cooking. (Try a touch of cinnamon and allspice on baked or sauteed chicken. Or go on vacation in the winter rather than the summer. Etc., etc., etc....

Yes, I do agree.

I will use genetics as an analogy. The more gene diversity you have in a population (say a population of ducks on a pond), the "stronger" that population is. By "stronger" I mean that the population is better able to defend against potential threats of disease and predation.

Therefore, I feel that the more diverse your life is the better. Whether it be learning a new musical instrument, eating Thai food, learning a new language, exploring an ethnic neighbourhood, or just traveling to a far off land. All of these things will make you "stronger" to fight off threats of disease and predation! - just kidding.

I honestly feel that diversity makes you a "stronger" individual by increasing your knowledge about the world in which you live.

Peace.

Diversity IS life. Conformity and sameness is death. Nature favors the fringe.
I have a whole rant about this, but we all need to learn to look for differences and enjoy them, creating cooperative ways to improve our lives together, instead of looking for ways to separate people to steal their money through fear-based marketing and competition with Nature.

Uniformity is nice if you need to put something through a process, such as a Public School or a potato digger.

Yes. I never would have experienced Chinese food, for example.
