My favorite is the Efu tachi. It was a gift to my grandfather during WWII when he was stationed in Japan.

I don't have a collection, but I know many of the famous knife makers, Jerry Fisk, who is a Living American Treasure (and has a medal he got in Florida for it, woohoo); BR Hughes, Mike Ruth, they make some of the most beautiful knives in the world! Knives are art at a certain point, and I love them.
