My ex walked out on me 3 yrs. ago. I was a complete mess. I'm finally starting to get on my feet. Its been a long hard road. Don't give up. Try to save as much as you possibly can before you go. Can you go back to your home town? You may run into old friends there. Like you, I have no family and no friends. I moved to a new state and don't know a soul yet. You'll have to work very hard to make ends meet, I work 70+ hrs. a week. I found a house to rent that I absolutely love and am starting to think about a social life again. Never thought that would happen. Stay positive and work hard. You'll make it.

First, start with counseling. Second, get to wherever your family is and make a new start. Physical abuse usually progresses. Look in your area for crisis lines or community information lines. Lifeline of Central FL. Orlando. (407) 841-7413. Make some calls and get things going in a better direction for yourself. Good luck.

If you really can't find a place, call the police who can take you to a shelter for abused women. Never think only a little abuse. Being hit by the man you love is not right. You can e mail if you like, I'm in South Carolina.

Never let your fears get the best of you. Don't worry about finances, you may surprise yourself at how well you do without him. You may not have alot of money left over each month but at least you know your bills are paid. People get themselves in finacial trouble and get themselves out of it. And it's going to happen again and again, it's part of life. Contact agencies and inquire about living arrangements, it's their job to help you.
You'll be alright, when it comes right down to it, it's all about mind over matter.
