Depends on how serious the lie is. But if you have been good friends for a while and she has never lied before then forgive her and give her a second chance if you truly think shes sorry.

my best mate lies to me all the time she thinks i don't know but its obvious, it hurts cos I'm a very open and honest person, but some people have difficulty defining the truth and a pack of lies!
not sure if any of this actually helps but just wanted you to know your not alone

Maybe there is a good reason why they lied. Was it to spare your feelings? or to get themselves out of trouble. First lie I would forgive, if it was a habit I would seriously consider our friendship.

Depends how serious the lie is.
If it's just something silly i wouldn't worry about it, but if it's over something significant maybe you should confront her about it.
The last thing you want is for a lie to spoil your friendship by making you doubt you best mate.

Don't take this the wrong way but I think it depends on what she did. And exactly what did she do. Just confront her and ask her why she lied to you

confront them and ask them why they lied to you. If they have a good reason, then accept it and forgive them...if not, u have to keep testing the waters and trying to find out where u both stand.

Well im really insecure so I worry about it a lot and then I study the situation and determine whether I need to shun him/her or be extra nice... depends on the situation of course.

forgive them... and thats no holy crap im talking... they mean enuff to u for the title of best friend.. so u have to except them for who and wot they are..there is always a meaning be hind a lie..and where would we be if we all turned are back wen something arises we dont like???...friendship is loyalty.. friendship is acceptence.. if it bothers u that much talk..after all shes ur best friend xx

never trust a liar.....if they do it a first time...they do it a second and a third...and so on....get a new friend.....are you sure this is the first time she's lied to you...coz it sure as hell won't be the last

Honestly, what you should first do is forgive her if she admits she does something. Because everyone deserves a second chance. Now if she cheated on your boyfriend then she dump the b**ch because you'll never know when she'll do it again.
