Yeah, like some people I think might have ill or devious intentions. Especially the guy I think who is interested in me. I don't want to capture his gaze and give him the wrong idea especially since he doesn't know that I know he's got 2 domestics on his record and was divorced twice.
Then there's my father. When he talks, he does not look at you. Only glances up at you every once in a while. Now I don't know what his deal is. But he is aware of the fact.
They say the eyes are the windows of the soul. Sometimes I think we don't want to expose ourselves too much.

Well.... I don't really have a problem making eye contact, except when I'm depressed, but I have a rather.... odd personality (meaning I'm a totally unique individual, basically) and I think I intimidate a lot of people, so they don't look ME in the eye. I think it helps (not) that when I'm in a new situation, I can be almost aggressively friendly. And a lot of people can't handle that. But oh well. LOL.

Usually it's the other way around. I feel so uncomfortable looking at someone who has a lazy eye.

I used to----quite often.
But I'm an "old chick" now, & I make it a point to be able to look everyone in the eyes---even if it's after I made a mistake.
It's much harder to go home & look at yourself in a mirror when something is wrong, than to look at someone else...

yes and it's annoying because I feel rude. Nothings wrong with them, I just can't look them straight in the eyes.

I like making eye contact w/ people, even strangers. I can't think of anyone who I can't make eye contact with.

Yeah, a lot of people. Some of them I don't though because their eyes when you look into them, they look deadly...
