I can drive the truck until it warms up then the transmission cuts out like I'm in neutral. I can shut it off and wait a couple minutes and when i restart it it will drive another 30 to 100 feet then cut back out again. Any ideas what the problem is?

forgot about that.....fluid is full and there are no leaks

check your fluid level, if it is low fill it and try again. if it is full then you have a problem inside the trans, most likely no enough pump pressure.

thoroughly do away with driveshaft. Now do away with the c clips on the u joints caps. that is finished with a screwdriver. Get a tube or socket sufficiently vast to in high-quality condition a cap in and place it below the yoke. Get a smaller socket and place it on right of the cap and pound it threw with a hammer. Pull the backside cap off. Use vice grips in case you won't be able to get it off via hand. Now pound the u joint back via any opposite direction and do away with the different cap. The u joint or whats left will fall out at this element. opposite those steps for putting in the hot u joint. be sure you not mixture the caps and unquestionably do no drop them or you will lose 0.5 your needles and choose a clean one. additionally, written training at the instant are not very intuitive for this. pass look it up on youtube for a sturdy occasion.

You probably need to change the filter.This requires removing the pan .Filter kits are available at any parts store.

does it smell burnt ? if it does it is.
