The guys I mostly attract are nerds and guys that aren't too hott (no offense). I never get approached. I'm 18, freshman in college, and have never had a relationship. I did have crushes in the past, but those never worked out. I had this major crush on this guy for like a year, but now he's going out with my pretty friend. Of course, they don't know I ever had a crush on him. I wear braces, but I know that doesn't have anything to do as to why I can't get a guy.
I can't even date outside of my religion, and all the guys at church are practically taken. That means I can't date any of them at all because they've already dated a friend of mine. I can't even impress guys outside of chruch. Maybe because I'm not into all the things other girls are into. I'm not into partying. I love the visual arts and want to go to medical school. Am I too nerdy? It's like I have no confidence in myself sometimes. I don't even know how to talk to a guy I like.

slow down, you have plenty of time to worry about that. Just enjoy the college life, and the right guy will eventually find you. Remember, you are only 18 once.

I am in the same boat you are in. You don't need to be beating up on yourself that you are not good enough. If there are guys in your classes turn around and strike up a conversation with one of them. Just about the assignment or if you could study together and maybe get a couple of more people. Talk about fun things like what they like to do. It does not mean you are interested but it is good practice. Go to social events at college, join a Christian group that is in accordance with your religion. Join a club, get involved and practice on guys. Pretty soon you will have enough confidence and will be able to talk to any guy that you will have no more problems. It just takes time but you have to put yourself out there and let guys know you are looking. Good luck.

And you feel you need a guy to do what for you? Your whole life is ahead of you. You are just starting school to start a career, I assume. Live a little, don't get bogged down in a relationship with a person who is not sure who they are or what they want right now. Best of luck to you and all you seek.

Give yourself a break and chill out for a while...Sounds like you've got all the requirements, you're just in the wrong place. Get out and enjoy life on your own for a while, you're sure to meet Mr. Right, and these problems will be forgotten. Good luck!

Totally in the same boat as you! Whatever you do, don't lower your standards. You sound like an awesome girl (cause visual arts rock!) and you deserve an awesome guy (or girl, whatever floats your boat). Go to art shows or galleries or other hippie places. Places that interest you and look for guys there. Be outgoing and make the first move and see what happens. Oh, and don't listen to the guy who says you're too conceited, you have every right to be! ^_^
