Check out "Make-Up Artist" magazine as well as Make Up Artist Message Board http://www.make-upboard.com/index.php

Both are EXCELLENT sources for schools, education, tips, monthly contests, etc.

You might also check out http://www.themakeupshow.com/ It's in regards to the Make-Up Show NYC. There are competitions for both beauty and Fx make up.

Make-Up Artist Message board provides forums for Labs, Schools, classes, technique, and how's to's.
