What TV tuner is best for a laptop?

I want something that has good quality and can record tv.

I would recommend looking at Hauppauge. They have been making great TV tuners internal and external. If that doesn't work for you, Avermedia is another great company.

Hopefully your laptop has USB 2.0, that is the only way you are going to get smooth recordings.

I've one that's USB-connected to a Mac and it performed very well but haven't seen one connected to a PC laptop.
