A harmonic balancer is a dealer only part if you want a new one.

If you don't want a new one go to an auto wrecker and get one from the same year and model car.

Make sure it has the right number of pulleys or it wont drive your accessories.

Shouldn't be more than $20.00 at a serve yourself auto wrecker.

feels like the "mechanic" that did the artwork might have brought about a gas leak on the rear of your vehicle by some ability. The gas lines being pinched might reason not in undemanding terms the runability subject you reported touching directly to the vehicle not wanting to circulate over 10 miles an hour yet in addition might reason a hearth via gas leaking onto the exhaust on the rear of the vehicle and burning up the vehicle. remember that the cat converter is at its favorite factor the place exhaust enters it precise on the factor of the vehicle you reported began to burn first. i might, in case you have get admission to to the vehicle, look decrease than the vehicle and consider the gas lines. that could desire to tell the real tale, if smashed, you recognize what take place. If melted at that factor, lower back you recognize the place the hearth started.

Harmonic balancers are matched to the crankshaft durring assembly to balance the crank and connecting rods.

If you try to install a different one than what came with the engine originaly, your engine will vibrate quite a bit.

They sell after market "Fluid Dampers" that are self ballancing. But, they are around $300.

What happened to the original? Used a puller on the outside ring?
