Im in 11th grade right now in the class of May 2008 in my highschool and obviously my parents have started yapping on and on about "finding the right university" etc. The problem is im not even sure what type of courses and universities there are out there. I know I want to do something about Business but can anyone show me a site that explains the different degrees that relate to that and the universities that would be good for me? it would be vastly appreciated. It would get the folks off my back...

Hi,
Some common options under a Business Administration major are:
Accountancy
Communications
Finance
Law (Political Science)
Human Resources Management,
International Business
Management
Management Information Systems
Marketing
Operations Management

There are more as well. Think about what type of business you would be most interested in. Do you want to run a hotel? Do finances? Become a CEO? Where do you find your grades are best and you get the most enjoyment? A great place for looking at schools and majors is: http://www.princetonreview.com/home.asp.
It will tell you all about each major and what they involves/means a well as give you some of the best schools for whatever you are looking for.

Your parents should be proud! This should make them happy. Speak to a favorite teacher and the school counselor as well. Check into financial aid and scholarships. All the best to you.

Go to US News & World Report for rankings of business schools in undergrad. UPenn Wharton is the best, and Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Columbia are all very good. US News & World Report should be available for free at any library. Princeton Review's Counselor-O-Matic is one of the best for that sort of info!

i don't think theres any site site that'll show you a simple route like that. go to google and search for a list of top universities . you don't have to pick the best but you don't want one thats too far down on the list . then look for ones that teach well reputed courses in accounting or economics.
you can email or call any university for info . they are usually glad to help . look for a teacher or career councilor in your school to ask about this stuff.
