You can sometimes find mini stockings at places like Wal-Mart and Target, fill them with candy and a small Christmas ornament.

My best idea was no secret santa, no stupid gift swap, because I find those annoying. How bout instead of everyone spending 10 bucks on a gag gift, you collect the ten and give it to a charity? or instead of having people bring a secret santa gift, you ask them to bring a favorite Christmas story or tradition to share? or 15 copies of a family favorite recipe, or have them e-mail you their favorite Christmas song, you burn a CD for each guest of all the songs and hand them out at the party. Or have everyone bring a Christmas book and bring them to a group that is giving gifts to kids, so the kids will get a lovely Christmas story. or...there are candle decorating kits, if you are looking for an activity. Or you could put out materials to make cards (which you could keep or bring to a nursing home) Or have people exchange something useful, instead of secret santa, everyone brings a pot holder to exchange, or a household gadget. Or have some white play dough and let people make snowmen and it'll be the funnest activity and a great centerpiece you will enjoy all season...then send each guest a photo of all the snowmen together.

I have Christmas parties every year. And one thing that is always a huge hit is Christmas mice. You melt some choc. and dip cherries (with the stem still on) in it. Lay it on a piece of wax paper, and quickly put a Hershey's kiss on the end of it. Add two pieces of shaved walnut pieces for ears. Take frosting and add two little eyes, and you have yourself a delicious Christmas mouse!!! We have also made choc. covered marshmallows, the large ones, and called it reindeer poop. For non food ideas we have made small stockings and filled up with small toys or little treats. Also you can put in things like ear rings, necklaces, ect. This year we are doing the Christmas mice again, and bought small stockings and went to the dollar store and found these adorable monkeys, and stuck one out of the top of each one. Then added a candy cane, and a fortune cookie. Good luck with your Christmas party!!!

You can take the mini-marshmellows and put them in a baggie (tye a pretty ribbon around it) and attach a note saying something along the lines of "so here's the scoop, you've been naughty, so all you're getting is snowman poop." (you could put it in cute mug, which you can find at the dollar store, w/ some hot coco mix, to make it a little more cute). Have a fun party and a Merry Christmas!

If you have an Instant Camera, take pictures of your guests and at any dollar store, are cute festive Christmas frames that they could put their pictures in to commorate the evening. There are even really cute ones that are like crafts that they could assemble at the party! Put markers and glitter glue on the tables and set em loose! Have fun!

Christmas ornaments that you personalize to and from with the year... It is Christmas and when your guest put it on their tree they will think about the great time they had at your party for years to come!

i usually have little miniature stockings filled with candy, or scented votive candles, another good idea my kids came up with for this year, we are burning CDs with all the greatest music of the year.

we usualy get a whole rosted pig with apple on its mouth.thats the main food and a karaooke and beer for entertament
