Just wondering what people would pay for a homemade card (birthday, Christmas)...any occasion.

Thank you for all the responses. I was just wondering, because my wife makes beautiful cards for all occasions and is looking to sell them.
It just amazes me that someone would pay up to $5 for a mass produced card from a store when they could have one "from the heart" for the same or less.

Again, thank you for the responses.

I would say probably $2, (that was my decision before looking at other peoples answers) And that should make a little kid happy. But I have seen some girls make VERY nice cards, and I wouldn't mind paying 3-4 for those. I think they would be much more personal than a Hallmark.

BTW, I came here from a link about 13 years riding... That kind of mileage impresses me! I currently have a question about a motorcycle, and I think you could answer better than most people who have answered. Please check out the link below. Thanks much.

I create my own, I'm creative & I will just look at a card & go home and duplicate it: LOL.
I've heard 2-4 dollars is good, a lot of hard work is put into them. So, if it's really good I'd pay 4 dollars.

"Homemade" brings visions of a sloppily folded piece of paper with crayon & glitter glued to it. Probably $ 1.00 if kids were selling them to raise money.

If adults are selling them (for charity or profit), I'd want a unique and interesting (and well made) card & I'd pay between $ 10.00 - $ 20.00. It would all depend on how well done it was.

I think it's all on apperance and design if you make it nice and neat we can discuss a price $3-$8..
and if it looks rough and sloppy I might buy it just to help you out.

My wife sells hers for $4.95 and they go like hot cakes. She is very gifted when it comes to greeting cards.

if good enough.......

i think i'd be HAPPY to pay £1.

but I know it costs more to print them.

i think everyone should make thier own.

but if you want to sell them, sell them for double the cost of printing them (or triple if you can tell they can afford it!!!)

depends on the card. If it's nicely handcrafted, about 2 bucks. It it's something my kids made, who knows!

no, homemade cards should be from the heart and should come from the person who made it not a stranger!
