The obvious, practice....but to be more detailed, if I were you I would:
- Work on your endurence (run at least a mile everyday)
- work on your aim, stand from every spot on the court until you can make it w/o any real effort.
- Make sure you are able to handle the ball well dribbling.
*If you have a friend whose going for the team that would help, b/c its easier to get things done (and not lose your motivation) when you have a friend (to help, and help you).

what you should do:
1. Get toned and strong. This means working out and exercising EVERY DAY!!! (do wind sprints, end of court to free throw line, end of court half court, and finally end of court to the other end and back. 10 a day {in 1/2 hour} will get you very good at running, not to mention running in gym!)
2. Go on a healthy diet. Cut out any unnecessary foods like desserts and candy.
3. Practice your free throws. 200 shots daily sounds like a lot. Don't do them all in one time. divide it amongest the day
4. Practice lay-ups. 50 on each side each day will make you better.
MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!!!: drink tons of water and get used to running around.

First you need a better place to practice, like an indoor basketball court, playground etc. . keep practicing! it would be good to also find others to play against to see what it's like to play with a team, and to guard etc. theres more to it than making baskets. good luck.

yeah just go outside and shoot around for 3,4 hrs a day. work on layups and free throws!!! dribbling is also very important. i'm on the freshman team and the one thing that made me get on the team was ball handling and free throws. hope that helps.

I started off dribbling. Dribble with one hand at a time. Its good to get both hands comfortable dribbling good. And next would be shooting...shoot for hours...you will naturally become comfortable with it. It all depends on how dedicated you are.

Play a lot, whenever you can. Play a lot of games but don't forget about solo training by yourself just to work on your skills.
