I fell in love with my best friend years ago. I always thought I would marry him. Life circumstances got in the way. I am married now and so is he. I think I still love him. Is this even possible? I saw him a few months ago after not talking to him for years and it brought back a flood of emotions, memories and feelings and I cant stop thinking that I made a terrible mistake. Any thoughts, suggestions?

You never forget your first "true" love. It doesn't always last. Enjoy your memories but the past is past. As they say if it was meant to be it would have...so get on with your life and stop thinking what might have been...you may end up losing your husband for nothing

True love can transcend over years. However, in your case, love may still exist, but you also appear to be fantasizing over the what ifs…What if my ex and I would have been married? What if I would have stayed with him, what would have happened, would my life be better? Hmmm! be careful…

You chose to marry your current husband and he chose to marry his wife, which means that you both committed to someone else, therefore, leaving no room for any hopes of getting together. Commitment means responsibility, not what ifs or emotional memories that you may associate to the past.

Be blessed and be careful not to allow the possibility of an affair to creep in.

yes love can last for years. wats the point of memories when you don't feel love...
and maybe you did make a mistake. and now its kinda of too late to make things right. but love makes you learn new things everyday. and well... the angry heat of life does get in the way but i guess your love for him has survived to its roots.
