1995 Mirage. Able to remove assembly socket from headlight but can't remove the bulb assembly from the socket. The manual says just pull it out. It won't budge. Seems to be latched in but no clear way to unlatch it. I hope I'm missing the obvious. Don't want to waste time going to a mechanic for something so trivial. Thanks for any help.

Your car has a 9004 bulb. If you were able to remove the socket that is the hard part. The 9004 bulb has a tab on it that holds it in the socket. There should be a release tab on the socket. Push or pull the tab so the socket disengages from the light bulb. Then you pull the bulb straight out. When installing the new bulb be careful not to touch the glass. If you are still having problems go to your local parts store, you can go to the one where you bought the bulb. Most places will replace it for you for free or a nominal charge ($5). Don't be shy, people come in every day asking for help installing bulbs. Good luck, I hope this helps.

confirm you recognize the version between a head mild, and a head mild bulb. In that vehicle, you basically replace the bulb, not the pinnacle mild. What i'm getting at, is that there is basically not a might desire to debris with ANY of the pinnacle-mild housing. The, "wires", to which you're referring are related to the bulb socket. The bulb socket is retained the two via a sur-clip of a few style, or plenty extra possibly; you in undemanding terms turn the bulb socket counter-clockwise till it releases. very almost any extra effective vehicle-areas chain will try this for you in case you purchase your alternative bulb from them.

Usually they twist to unlock then pull straight out , I would say that it is just stubborn and stuck . Spray a real light oil on it and let it sit for a few minutes see if that helps any .
