there is a wool pigeon hemmed on the back, and I purchased it at Pasquesi's auto repair

Its actually a swell auto shop. I got my 1984 Monte Carlo repaired there a couple years ago. The sweaters they were selling were business casual, and they looked nice. They had a sample table of tortellini stu and I completely spilled it all over the sweater. They would let me return it, so now im stuck trying to get the stain out. Isn't there a Club Soda remedy with stains?

you purchased a SWEATER at an AUTO REPAIR place??!
be that as it may, if your totellini stain is not old, and you haven't washed the item since staining it, dishwashing detergent liquid works wonderfully on food stains. just squeeze enough onto the stain to cover it, and let it sit until you're ready to wash it as you normally would.

I'm curious. What kind of autos does this sweater shop repair? Also, do you mean that there is a pigeon EMBROIDERED on the back? Hemming something is to smooth the edge of a fabric out by folding the edge under the main fabric and sewing it there. One more thing. I've never once heard of a "holographic" stain, let alone a holo-tortellini.

All said and done, let a dish soap or a laundry detergent without a bleach or bleach alternative sit on the stain for an hour or so, then wash it thoroughly.
