What's job out look in construction in phoenix area?

Raised in wisc. is it going to be hard to adjust to the summers in phoenix?Does dry heat really help with some health probalems?Want to move is cost of living high or adverage for family of 3?

I am a born native to Phoenix and have lived through the heat records. It is extremely hot here during the summers. Here's the thing though, we have to stay in for apx. 3 months out of the year. We stay in the Air Conditioned rooms, houses, malls, movie theaters etc. The rest of the year, we are outside. DON"T LEAVE A SODA CAN IN THE CAR DURING SUMMER!!!!! DON'T LEAVE TAPES OR CD's or ANYTHING THAT CAN MELT IN YOUR CAR/TRUCK!!!!!
It is awesome in the spring, fall and even the winter. If you want snow in the winter, you drive 2-4 hours north and there you have it. If you want the sandy beaches of Mexico or San Diego, you drive 4-6 hours west. Vegas is a 4 hour drive, Lakes, all around, although not like some places. There is alot of potential here even though the housing marked has been doing a few funny things.
I have watched this place grow for almost 35 years now and will continue to watch it grow. Every time Hurricanes hit or snow falls in buckets, earthquakes and tornadoes. Those are all bad events and that is why I am staying here.

Not gonna lie to ya...It's like being in hell !!! So hot you can hardly breathe !!! Lots of work though....cost of living is good ...compared to most big city's...Don't wait till summer to move here , it's best to get here before springtime and work "into" the heat....that will be the best way to "ease" your body to "adjust" to your new home.....WELCOME TO HELL !!!
