Same thing that happened to music. Once they wrote all the good stuff, there was nothing else but RAP.
Flip through the channels or toss your Tv out the front window.

When there is money to be made in it and right now these things seem to be coming in waves. Thank god the Reality show hype is starting to die down a little. At this point it is extremely drawn out plot shows that require some thought and attention like Lost and 24, or shows with lots of sex featuring young prfessionals like Grey's Anatomy, plus a host of other failed would be's. When there is more money in decent sitcoms, they'll come back.

ew, i never understood why everyone loves raymond was a "good" show; ray romano's voice is so annoying. i agree with you though that a lot of the better shows are ending. i miss seinfeld and cheers. but scrubs and the office are pretty good. scrubs isn't as good as the older episodes, but it's still funnier than other shows on now. i think the problem is that studios are trying to save money by having those stupid "deal or no deal" and "1 vs. 100" shows. Ugh!

They are on Nick at Nite and TVLand, mostly (along with some not so good ones like Roseanne). Hard to say when another good one will come along; it happens less frequently all the time. Newer sitcoms do not hold up over time like some of the old ones.

Seriously, i feel exactly the same way you do. Honestly they all moved to cable television. Public broadcasting channels cant compete with HBO and other channels. Sopranos, Chris Angel, The Wire. They s hit all over regular sitcoms. Plus, no commercials. Ive had enough of the regular channels. Better entertainment on cable channels.

They have either run their coarse or were cancelled. I know what you mean. I loved "Everybody Loves Raymond". "King of Queens" is still on. The new show that "Robert" from "Everybody Loves" is mildly good. But, it will never reach the popularity of "Raymond".

No one is original enough any more to come up with new creative shows. Seriously, if one type of show has any sort of sucess all the other networks create a generic version.
Forget big network television... watch HBO, FX, showtime series
