When I was pregnant I had to take mine out because I waited too long.If yours closes, most places will repierce it cheap if you do it soon afterwards..A friend of mine used thick fishing string before she got too big, tied it into a knot(long,so there was room to grow)It looked a little odd,but she didnt want to go through the bother of getting it pierced again, and it worked.

A friend of mine was pregnant twice with a pierced belly button. Both times, she had to stop wearing her jewelry, and both times the hole closed up and she had to get it re-pierced. However, other people may have had different experiences.

Usually, as your belly gets larger, the skin gets tighter and sometimes the ring can rip out. But my sister just changed her ring to a curved bar, and it's still in tact and shes 8 months pregnant.

IT stretches and it looks funny b/c you can see both holes then after you had the baby then the skin btwn the piercing looks stretched and groce it took mine about two years to look decent.

it kind of stretchs and goes out of shape, It also makes a bit of a nasty smell. Take it out and re-do it later if you want to save the hassle and keep it nice.
