No, it's profoundly wrong. The construction is characteristic of one stripe of so-called conservatism. It suggests that the puzzle is complete, and that conservatives have all of the pieces, doesn't it? Well, that's just plain error.

Liberal thought is most easily described as the refusal to dismiss contending entertained notions merely because there is a current strongest notion. Conservative thought is most easily described as a tendency to reach for the next explanatory notion only when the currently subscribed notion is so obviously wrong that the horses can tell.

Conservatives in general do not understand liberal thought; and the converse is also true.

Fact is, capital-L Liberals and capital-C Conservatives are brutishly simple-minded in their understanding of the other side, tending to reduce Them to 'slack-jawed beasts that only look like people.'

But real liberal thinkers and real conservative thinkers get along pretty well: they understand the opposing intellectual position and give it due respect as a defensible position.

Liberal thought is available in book form: read a few of them. Conservative thought is available in book form: read a few of them. But try to make certain that what you read is THOUGHT, and not simply the slogan-du-jour of a Party.

Do republicans read because this republican does not know the definition of the word association? Does he think Liberals are missing some pieces, because he is a moron

association

n 1: a formal organization of people or groups of people; "he joined the Modern Language Association"

2: the act of consorting with or joining with others; "you cannot be convicted of criminal guilt by association"

3: the state of being connected together as in memory or imagination; "his association of his father with being beaten was too strong to break" [ant: disassociation]

4: a social or business relationship; "a valuable financial affiliation"; "he was sorry he had to sever his ties with other members of the team"; "many close associations with England" [syn: affiliation, tie, tie-up]

5: the process of bringing ideas or events together in memory or imagination; "conditioning is a form of learning by association" [syn: connection, connexion]

6: a relation resulting from interaction or dependence; "flints were found in association with the prehistoric remains of the bear"; "the host is not always injured by association with a parasite"

7: (chemistry) any process of combination (especially in solution) that depends on relatively weak chemical bonding

8: (ecology) a group of organisms (plants and animals) that live together in a certain geographical region and constitute a community with a few dominant species

Yes, I would say that your analogy is legitimate, Genius. Liberalism works when implemented in a small community, not an entire country. The liberal mentality of today is diplomacy. This will not work with Islamic extremists. We do not have many conservatives left in government. The Bush administration is not Republican. The actions it has taken taken are extremely Liberalistic. Government spending has skyrocketed just for example. Reagan would not tolerate this bullshit from tyrannical countries such as Iran and North Korea.

Liberal is a very broad term meaning a "free thinker and one who keeps an open mind toward anything new" as opposed to a conservative who is "close minded and not open to new ideas". Although we refer to democrats and republicans respectively as being liberal and conservative, it ain't necessarily so. There are democrats that are more conservative in their views and visa versa. It's really not a question any more of who's got control of congress and the senate, democrats or republicans. Its who's got control? the liberals or conservatives. The democrats may be in power, but the conservatives may have the actual power. So to answer your question, both groups could be considered to be missing a few pieces.

To call yourself a "genius" you certainly don't have much brainpower. Liberals believe in working for people as a whole. Not just certain ones, because of their race, sexuality, income, etc.. Which is the complete opposite of the greedy, derogative conservatives & republicans that stain this country with the hatred and oppressive filth.

Conservatives are the missing pieces to the wrong puzzle.

We can play this game forever & accomplish nothing, like you are doing, or work toward fixing what we believe needs fixing. Easy to see you are one of the whiners who do nothing constructive.
