I don't know exactly what you need, but if you do it about cultures you can compare the Aztecs and the Incas. I heard somewhere they had similar things when they were conquer, like they both where waiting for a God and they surrender because of that.

Knowing what grade you are in may help a bit...
Could do a comparison of the two civilizations...
Compare their art or how their government was organized or their architecture or their main inventions or their gods.... (like Venus and Aphrodite)
Could create a mosaic which was a fairly common media for the two.
The two civilizations are rich in topics to cover.... I would have a difficult time narrowing down what to do...
Here's an idea that just hit me...I like it....
You want to do something very different? It would seem very creative to me....
What about making a cookbook?
You could research what either group ate.... list ingredients common to their environment, tools or equipment used in making the meals, how they stored food, and how the meals were served.... and I'm sure there would be a resource out there (the web or a library) that would have recipes too... you could organize it like a real book ...maybe draw or find pictures to enhance it.... and make or find a cover that has an ancient feel/mood to it.
For the finale try making a dish and present it to your class/teacher... I'm sure that would "WOW" them.
Wish I was in school still... I totally would do that! (does that make me a geek? LOL!)

I once did a project on Hadrian's Wall and the Antonine Wall. These were the two walls the Romans built in Britain roughly at the border between Scotland and England to protect their northern frontier from invasion by the ancient Celts/Scots. They were the only artificial borders they created in their entire empire.

I did one about Ancient Roman cemetaries and funerals. It was quite interesting actually. I got a A -.
