Yes, I guess the best way to dethaw a pea would be to freeze it, so I might try it that way if I wanted frozen peas. I usually cook them, though.

Yes,. I love them. My sister makes a pea salad out of frozen peas, I don't know what is all in it, but the peas are NOT cooked. The frozen ones, taste more like the ones out of a garden than the canned ones do.

The only peas I eat come from a can. I don't like frozen veggies of any kind. They either have to be fresh (garden fresh) or I like the canned ones.

PS. "dethawed" = no such word. You mean "thawed" or "defrosted". If it did exist then "dethawed" would mean re-frozen
