Does gravity have something to do with the way the toilet flushes?

because you know how toilets flush in the oposite direction in Australia..i live in the US so..
kindly help? dont just type anything to get points plz..

I have done the calculation of the Coriolis effect on how water flushes down a drain in two different physic classes. I'm sorry I can't remember how the calculation went off the top of my head (required vector calculus), but the conclusion both times was that the Earth has not been spinning long enough or fast enough to produce a strong enough Coriolis effect on draining water. Water spins a particular way down a drain because of the way the sink is designed.

Of cause it would be better to visit Australia first. But you know, in Australia the sun moves in the direction opposite to the clock arrows.
I believe, it is not gravity, but Earth spinning is responsible for that. There is a Coriolis force, which makes the falling bodies move toward East, and this force makes the moving water in Northern hemisphere to wash right banks of rivers, and left banks in Southern hemisphere

Never been able to prove it but it is supposed to be the Coriolis effect, where there is an extra cross product term in the force equation for a mass undergoing acceleration in a rotated reference frame. It is supposed to be the same equation that tells why low pressure systems rotate counter clockwise and high pressure systems clockwise in the northern hemisphere. It is not because of gravity but is because of the rotation of the earth.
