90% of the people on here have had some kind of bad experience with a phone, and will give you a biased answer.
Even so, I would advice not buying a pre-paid phone, because they are often strictly for calling. Any pre-paid phone you buy that will be great for gaming, or have a great camera, will most likely cost you many hundreds of $$.
Verizon, Cingular, and Sprint's gaming phone are VERY expensive, and they don't offer amazing games. Gaming on phone is not great. T-mobile used to offer some great phone, that I know you can still find on E-bay.

I thought you mean, house phone. I have two recommendations for that kind. But you meant to say, a new cell phone. I recommend Samsung.
