If you want to do this yourself, I recommend that you go to your local auto parts store and buy a Haynes manual for your particular year, make and model of car.
It will give you detailed instructions on how to do the job from start to finish including removal and reinstalling it.

i own a repair shop, and these ones are sort of hard to do,,your going to need a good repair manual for this job,i recommend a good Haynes repair manual ,,it will help you a lot,,you have to remove the hoses on it from the out side, and be sure and drain all the coolant before you start this job,,you might also have to remove the heater box all the way on this one to get to the heater core,,some of them you didn't have to,,but the most ones i have done you do,,there a real good job to do,,so if you don't think you can do it,i wouldn't start it,,because once you get it tore down,,its not going to be drivable,,you might want to consider having it done,,in just telling you from experience,,its hard job even for me,,and i been at it for 36 years,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

well it would make more sense to pay someone. but if you want to do it, you will need to get the freon out of the ac system first and foremost, do not let it go into the air please..... then you get to remove the dashboard and then the hvac box......smartest thing you can do, go to the library and copy the procedure so will have the information on hand, not an easy job
