I read somewhere that someone did a study to find which racial features are the most attractive overall. They found that mixed races, or a mix and match of different features from different races were the most attractive.
Why? Well, just because!
Evolutionarily, it could have to do with the drive and need for variety in the gene pool, or just the excitement of somebody new and exotic and different!
Attraction is based on a number of psychological factors as well. Good memories, traumatic experiences, personality type, needs wants and desires, all have a substantial impact on what any one person is attracted to.

They are a sort of "hybrid" and often combine the best qualities of both parents. Of course, some interethnic (that's the correct term, btw) are just as ugly as the next guy. Some days you get great Burbank Potatoes, other days you just get tater tots.

Hi. I read that they way we perceive beauty has a lot to do with symmetry and curves. A person that is beautiful, regardless of heritage, usually has these properties. (At least externally.) Look at Dogzilla's avatar, for example. Freaky, but beautiful.

I've noticed that too, and have wondered about the cause. I'll be intersted if anyone has a theory.
