i don't really have close friends any more...just acquaintances....been dumped on in the past so i tend not to get too close to people...i am friendly and polite and always nice to them but as far as friends go....i keep them at arms length

Ive truly xperienced this. I have lots of friends. Lots! They're all cool but I find that they can't handle my type of friendship. I've been in this situation sinse I was 9. I've never had those types of friends that I can trust or do silly things with and I think I've missed out on a lot. Popularity doesn't last but true frieds do.

The true friends that have your back because once you move through high school and into college ur reputation as being popular or whatever doesn't matter. Plus not being able to trust your friends will probably make u sheltered because you feel like you can't trust anybody.

if you cant trust someone n they treat you badly theyre not a friend anyway, id rather have the handful of real friends that ihave than a million false ones.

personally, i love having a small group. But, if you are on about a trusting factor, maybe one or two best friends and draw the line there.

No.... I prefer few friends....but good ones!!! I think friendship is something really hard to build...but when you have them...is like finding a treasure!!!!
