Yes, I believe our energy lives on. I believe that thought energy is a power in the universe (can generate belief in a deity or an idea, and could be the basis of magic, as used by Wiccans to gently affect the universe). It's got to have some discreet power, I think, given that an electron will behave like a particle if you believe it's a particle and behave like a wave if you believe it's a wave. Mind-boggling physics, but it highlights the power of thought.
So I believe our energy - our personality or spirit if you like - remains coherent for a time after it leaves the physical body, or the physical body can no longer hold it. (I also think this "spirit" can wander when the body is at rest - astral projection and powerful dreams etc).
I believe there is a dimension beyond the reach of time, where this spirit energy can coalesce, share experiences, learn, and expand its understanding. I believe it can remain coherent - a distinct "person" or "angel" while it has a purpose to do so, and that there are those who calm the new spirits as they leave the material world behind. Sometimes, I'm sure, they are "known" to the departing spirits, other times, they may have a strong personal or family connection.
Call it what you like - the science of spirituality, the faith of understanding...I think science and spirituality are closer than many distracted folk understand, and your experiences, and those of some of your better answerers here are validly spiritual, but explicable in scientific terms. We go on. I think our definitions of gods and heavens are idealised to reflect our earthly lives, but that we go on, and find our fellows in an elevated form, I have no doubt.

Yes, I do believe in Angels. I believe people from our past and present are there for a reason and if we have an open mind and pay attention they are there for answers and lessons. Whether it be someone who has passed or is still with us, what they have imparted on our souls will stay with us. This is why I believe there are Angels (spirits) with us always. As for our energy, I think it dies with us like a light bulb goes off and cools down. What we have given to others lives forever if they choose to use it.

Yes I believe in angels my daughter died one year ago yesterday and I have seen signs of her a few times it took about a month before I felt she was in Heaven and OK. i joked with her that it must have taken a minute for her to convince God to let her in:) One of the most recent signs was 2-fold her youngest sister (25)was waiting until 30 to have a child and all the sudden we realize she is having a baby due around our angel daughters birthday. i was out buying some pampers(I believe in being prepared) everyone has been saying she is going to have a boy I just call the baby our angel baby. i was getting a bag of diapers and there was a bib laying there on it said mommy's little angel and it was pink. Though the youngest has said she just wants a healthy baby she really wants a girl and I now feel she will have a girl she always looked out for her big sis and she looked out for her. We had been trying to get her to quit smoking for years I told her this was her big sis's way of getting her to quit since she quit the day she found out she was pregnant. It is a joke with us all that such extreme measures had to be taken to get her to quit but the upcoming bay has gave us all something to be happy about after all the sadness this past year. May you always have an angel looking out for you

I believe this...
(Genesis 3:19) 19 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:19-20) 19 For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust.
I believe our hope rests in this.
(Isaiah 26:19) 19 “Your dead ones will live. A corpse of mine—they will rise up. Awake and cry out joyfully, YOU residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of mallows, and the earth itself will let even those impotent in death drop [in birth].
(John 5:28-30) 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. 30. . .
We came from dust and without the application of Christ's ransom in our behalf we will return to dust. For some it means eternal life in heaven. For the vast majority it means eternal life here on earth.
(Psalm 37:10-11) 10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
If it were possible to talk to dead loved ones would God condemn it?
(Deuteronomy 18:10-13) 10 There should not be found in you .......anyone who consults a spirit medium ......or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you. 13 You should prove yourself faultless with Jehovah your God. . .
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
The dead do not survive into an afterlife. If they did there would be know need for a resurrection. In fact wouldn't it be an unkind act to bring someone back who was already enjoying the afterlife?

Yes, I do very much so, I know that we have Guardian Angels, plus I believe that there are spirits surrounding us. I know that we all have a spirit or soul, whatever you want to call it. Yes, I believe that after our bodies die, that our soul or spirit lives on and that eventually that soul or spirit will stand before God and Jesus Christ on judgement day.
I believe that my Dad's spirit is still with my Mom and still protects her as he did when he was still alive here on earth.

We decompose, that's in reality a chemical technique and hence the replace of skill in variety or yet another. in addition there is a few electric powered discharge with the midsection and yet another discharge of varieties with the neurons, and so on. i don't have confidence there is something metaphysical approximately it, however.
