I make a lot of goals and find ways to achieve them, but I can never stick to them, which makes my dreams seem very far away and unreachable. Help please! Thanx.

Serious long reaching goals are great but they have to be reached in steps. Those intermediate goals are the ones you achieve on a regular basis.

I.E. Your goal is to become the CEO of the company you work for. You are now a janitor. So list the steps to make it to the top. Now those are the interim goals that you can check off on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Just be careful, I set my lifetime goal and achieved it at 39 years of age. I have been in various stages of depression since. I can't seem to develop a PASSION for another like I had for the first.

Last thought: Those big goals have to be IMPORTANT to you, not anyone else!!!

If these are realistic goals you may have a problem believing in yourself. You must adopt a way to be perseverent so you diligently reach your goals or you will feel sad later when you go through the thoughts in your head " the could have's, would have's and should have's). Life is full of changes and remembering that is why we must stick to the paths we have chosen not to lose our dreams and try and attain those reachable goals we seek to accomplish. Getting lost in another project because it seems to be more fun, is wrong, for you probably wont see that project through either. Remembering that the grass is not always greener pastures on the other side might help.

You are not accounting for everything you need to do and you are not giving yourself a time line to get it done. Take your goal sheet, and do what is called a "projection to the future" where you place a definite date to have that part of the goal-that step-accomplished. That way you are not spinning your wheels. You also need to post that step of the goal to accomplish somewhere where you can see it every day so that you will know how long you have to get that step accomplished. If you are serious, this will help. It has helped me many times.

Make sure the goal is realistic and attainable. Then make sure it has VALUE to it...because if it doesn't, then it'll be easy to walk away from it. Then strategize a plan to reach the goal by making incremental tiny, limited goals to reach first, on the road to the big one!
