Garlic, organically grown. Chicken soup. Aspirin (OhMyGAWD!! )fresh fruit or Citric juices. (fresh oranges are picked green, juiced oranges were picked ripe...remember that)
See a doctor if there is chest pain or severe throat pain. I don't trust doctors, but sometimes you have to accept the technology which community living requires.
Strep throat and pneumonia are deadly, and as long as someone doesn't live a life that prevents these things (fresh air, minimal social contact, healthy foods from healthy soil, proper sleep, etc.), they have to accept the compensating medical care that comes as a requirement of modern living.
It could be just a virus. (cough, fever, aches, fatigue) no sharp pains anywhere) Advice for that is on the NyQuil bottle.
This isn't medical advice, it's just lifestyle advice.

Hi,
I'm not a doctor but I am a Health and Wellness Consultant. I would first make sure that your friend see's a doctor to make sure that what you say they have is what they have; especially if they have a fever. For some relief have them drink plenty of fluids, get some "Airborne" from any grocery or walmart store and use anywhere from 2 to 3 times the first couple of days. Of course something over the counter for the pain.
May I suggest that to avoid these problems in the future that one should work hard at building their immune system since everything begins at the cellular level (ours cells). I have some great insight on that and can direct you further if you are serious about staying healthy and, or getting healthy.

The word infection by itself tells you that she needs an antibiotic. Have her go see the doctor.

She needs a z-pack. Basically, a large initial dose of antibiotics will do her wonders.

If she's not beating it with rest, vitamins, chicken soup and steam, she should go to a doctor. Don't wait too long, you don't want it to turn into pneumonia, that can kill you.
