My favorite book by Michael Crichton is SPHERE. The characters are so real and emotional. The story is so interesting and I love how the characters aren't glorious or anything. Norman is aging and pudgy; Beth is angular and self-defensive; and Harry is cold and bitter. In fact I just finished re-reading the book this afternoon; I've read it five times and I still love it.

I also love The Lost World. It might even be better than Jurassic Park. For a man that doesn't like to write sequels, he sure writes a good one. The whole dark side to Jurassic park and mystery of the over population of carnivores was so intriguing to me. I love almost all of Michael Crichton's books.

I am writing the sequel to Sphere, Sphere 2. It's about the vessel that crashed, its crew members and their experience of the power of the sphere.
