I've used proactiv and it did help but after a while my skin became dry. I probably should have used their moisturizer along with the acne products.
I've actually had better luck with philosophy products. "On a Clear Day" line is incredible. Expecially the H2O2 cream. It works wonders! You can find a little kit on qvc called back to school or go to sephora.

I've been using Proactiv for about a year, and I've definitely noticed improvement in my skin. I remember a couple years back I started breaking out a LOT even though I had perfect skin before. After using Proactiv, over time, things have gotten much better. I didn't really notice it at first since it takes about a month or two to start seeing results (mainly because the change is gradual, so it's not that obvious). I'd say go for it.. I've been using the same set as I got last year for Christmas, so it lasts a while if you don't overuse it. It's a good investment; I still see zits on oily areas (my forehead) sometimes, but it's definitely improved.

Proactiv Works But If You Have Sensitive Skin, Proactiv Will Hurt Your Skin More Than It Will Help!! (Because of the intense medications such as benzoyl peroxide)
But If It's Just Zits Here And There, You Might Want To Try Clinique's Acne Soluctions 'Spot Healing Gel'. From Personal Experience, It Works!

First, yes Proactiv really works. Two, most doctors will tell you to keep your face washed because that is really the best way to keep the pimples away. Yes there is a lot of debate about sweets and chocolate etc. but the root cause of pimples is bacteria on your face and washing your face two and three times a day will help a lot. Good luck.

I don't think proactiv works cause I tried and it just made my face worse..
Maybe it depends on your skin.. It works for some people and it doesn't for others like me..
I started using honey and it actually works..
Here's what you do:
1) You use natural honey and put it on your face right before you take a shower,
2) Wash it off right before you get out of the shower
3) use some moisturizing lotion after
That should help

didnt work too well for me. i started to get zits in places that i never had them before i.e. cheeks. my face has also dried out majorly, the texture of it is all outa wack. but it does work for other ppl, just if u have sensitive skin, dont bother. also, my experience with it was when i tried to cancel my orders, they just kept on sending them and charging my account. we've called twice to cancel, and they just keep saying that our cancellation is not in their records. we've sent the last couple packages back for a refund, but we havent even recieved those yet. this is surprising because proactive is supposed to be such a reputable company that you wonder, why the hell are they being so sneaky and lying to me? try clinique, it works much better and its way more gentle. plus, its a much nicer sounding brand name. proactive sounds like a stigma.

I don't know about proactive but I do know that these work like magic. I haven't had zits since I started using them. Clinique's acne treatment cleansing foam, acne treatment night treatment gel, and acne treatment emergeny gel. Also NitriBiotic moisturizes your skin and gets rid of acne. ZENO is a device that gets rid of zits with heat.

I used Proactiv and it didn't help me. Used it for 4 months. But I know a lot of people it did help. I ended up having to go to the doctor and get meds.

i use proactive but i warn you, during the first week of using it you will break out, thats what happened to all my friends and me. But trust me, after about 2 weeks you WILL see results. I've been using proactive for about 6 months and my skin has never been clearer!
