I've been bit by a poisoned dart frog flying the roasted duck airlines and lived to tell about it. Frankly, after that, my little brush with death at the fangs of a nasty female Australian Red-back Spider seems like a gentle walk in the park, in comparison. :-)

No I haven't even heard of a recluse spider. But my hubby was bitten by a red back spider. They are like the black widow spider here down under. It was in his shoe. His foot went numb and he was nauseus all day. He lived!! I think it was a male cos its the female thats deadly! :o)

Not me personally, but I had a friend that was bite by a brown recluse on his foot and it turned black, this was about 4 years ago, his foot is still black.
