I think you might be talking about "Mr. Lucky" See link #1 below.
~If not try imb.com, since they show a huge list of hist movies, and you might see something that will jog your memory. You can also split it up by genre (i.e. this sounds like a drama, so you can take away the many comedies he starred in), or by credited with (which lets you look at the actresses he played opposite)
