hey!
where have you been?

last year we went at Crete.it was really nice and the nightlife was very good. we visited Knossos. it was very nice going to Crete because i am from heraklion and it always nice going back to where you spent your summers.

we also went with school at Sparti. we visited monembasia which was a long distance from the hotel to be honest... and the fortress just 10 minutes of the central city

Crete has a great nightlife plus historic interest.
Rhodes as well.

If u plan yr school trip in the spring break u should definitely visit one of those 2, cause Greek school also go that specific time on holidays, and u will be able to meet lots and lots!

Santorini is great , beautiful really , but summer is he best time, not spring, not winter..

Corfu is another option, beautiful and with palaces and historic interest!

Someone else mentioned Faliraki which is on the island of Rhodes which i highly recommend. I do not live in greece but i am half greek and spent the summer there while i visited other islands around. Overall the island of Rhodes had the best balance of night life, in Faliraki and "Bar Street" and historical sites with Old Town, the Medival Castle and the museum they have there

Most any populated area in Greece will have good nightlife. The only thing left is to choose your archaeological site.

I like Kalymnos, Kos, and Rhodes. Crete is also great.

Tinos has the Church of Panagia Evangelistria, which is a Greek pilgrimage site, and full of history. Plus it has the usual tavernas, etc., for the evening.

And, it is an easy trip to Delos, a really education archeological site.

Crete is a larger island, and of course has the historic site of Knossos .. http://www.culture.gr/2/21/211/21123a/e211wa03.html

Hi I'm not Greek, but I did visit Falaraki during the summer and there is both educational sights (the colluseum for one) as well as nightlife (but it's not as good as the holiday reps made it out to be!)
It was very cheap for us to go there (from England) and the weather was really hot (it was in June). If you go to Google I'm sure you could find lots more information

Santorini and Crete are the destinations you are looking for, both with educational sights and night life.
For hotels and rates you can check at www.4travel.ws
Note that if you going with a group of others you can always bargain for a better price

What about Kos? It has beautiful sites, like the Asclepieion, the temple at Kefalos, and many bars and resturants and nightlife.
