Is anyone who watches Fox news not convinced that the war is moving along as planned? Can all the interviews of our military convince anyone who doesn't already think our Military is doing a good job that they are?

Trying to show the world that Morale is high, our people want to fight for their country, and hopefully let all the cut and run liberals know they are winning!!

I think North belongs in Jail!

We are losing in Iraq! 80% of our combat deaths are from Iraqi's and the military will tell you they are in a complete mess, mainly due to political policy that is incompetent!

Iraq has gone on longer than World War II and we are bringing as many as a dozen body bags a day home! Iraq is not winnable militarily!

Cut and run Liberals? You mean like Nixon in Vietnam and Reagan in Beirut?

To rally support from those that have no honor.

Oliver North is a convicted felon... 6 felons if my memory is correct. He was and is a disgrace to the US Armed Forces.

This is just another example of a the rightwing double standard. If a democrat was a felon doing the same thing, boy oh boy we would never hear the end of it.

Just another example of the rightwing honoring and respecting someone that breaks and disobeys the laws of our great country.

the problem is not what kind of job our military is doing. they are the best on the planet. the problem is sticking our troops in a part of the world that has never been stable and expecting it to be stable over night. or even ever stable. The problem is how the people of the region see us. the see us as occupiers and they hate that every bit as much as if some other country occupied ours. As Americans, we would band together and fight them until they pulled out.

Invading Iraq was a stupid idea doomed to failure (so say Bush’s father and Colin Powell). North is in Iraq to make sure more Americans and Iraqis die and so he can do as much harm to America as possible while an idiot still occupies the White House.

He wants a job in politics.

He lied to Congress, misled the American people and was found guilty of charges of corruption.

Should make an ideal Presidential candidate.

Oliver North is considered to be a hero, patriot and in fact, an honorable veteran of the military. I happen to share that view to the largest extent. He is employed by FOX to be a correspondent in that theater of war, and with his previous military experience, a source of technical knowledge as well. As an additional bonus, he seems to be a source of high morale for the troops there as well. As to if things are moving as planned, that is speculation and from what I see as well as hear from some who are actually taking part in this war, we are not doing nearly as bad as some would have us believe. Should we be doing better? Absolutely. But I have faith in our military strategists and our makers of policy to make the right choices in adapting to the changing conditions there.
