If I buy a Lottery ticket I don't check the resuts for ages. The reason being that untill I known differently there is always a chance that the ticket may be a winner and the dream is so much better than reality. Is this normal ?

yeh, course it is! i don't buy them often but when i do i convince myself that the forces that be have guided me into buying that ticket for a reason, so therefore i AM going to win the lottery. I, then sit there toying with the idea of watching the show or saving it until later. i wait!! i check the results about an hour later to find, of course, i have not won. i then sit for a further hour trying to get to grips with not winning, i can't understand it!!!

I do the same thing! I don't buy them very often, but when I do I really don't check them unless I hear that there's a ticket out there not claimed. All I ever win is another ticket or a dollar.

If you're not playing to win, then why bother throwing your money away? Keep the dollar and go buy yourself a slushy for some genuine momentary happiness.

Revise your understanding of the word 'Normal.'

You'd need a fair few samples to find your 'averages.'

And, my guess is that you are somewhere in the middle of 'average.'

Personally, I find that the optimistic in me keeps the pessimistic at bay and in balance. And I've no idea where that fits in on the scale of 'averages.'

Dreams are alot better than reality because in reality, you can't go back. Sometimes you can remember dreams.

it's actually pessimistic, and i think that you know that it is unlikely for you to actually win. It does make sense, but you are probably in the pessimistic category
