If you dont have the time to take it to the dry cleaners and really dont want to spend the money going there, get a product called Dryell. It is designed for dry clean ony clothes and it works in your own dryer. I wouldn't recommend putting just the sweater in the dryer unless you want it to shrink!

READ THE LABEL! If it says professional dry cleaning then that must be the case only. Don't even be tempted. I have quite a lot of cashmere and dry clean suits but I don't have the time as I work very hard and usually busy on some business or another. But because I know how much I pay for the clothes I get, I would not be tempted to do a home dry clean job!

I wanted to felt a cashmere sweater and washed it in HOT water and in the dryer on HOT temp. I had to do it about five or six times until it actually shrunk. Then another five or six times until it was felted. I always hand wash, and put in the dryer on low heat, then lay flat to dry. Otherwise, it will take them days to dry. Hope this helps.

NO, NO, NO. Cashmere will shrink. If you can't take it to the dry cleaner at this time, put it aside and wear something else until you can take it. Cashmere is expensive (as I'm sure you know) and must be drycleaned. You will ruin your sweater.

No. Any amount of heat will be harmful. Bouncing the sweater around for 30 minutes is not a good idea.
Wash the sweater in cold water with Woolite. Squeeze the rinse water out. Don't ring the water out.
Place it on a flat surface (laid out flat and shape it properly) like a glass table top to let it dry.

Believe me, I know from experience. I hand washed one of my cashmere sweaters, and no matter what level you put it to, IT WILL SHRINK. Hang your sweater, unless you want to have a new cashmere tube top.

I wouldn't -
Have had sweaters shrink that way -
hand wash, blot extra wetness, block (set seams straight) and then let air dry - or press with cool iron.

i wouldn't advise it unless you want to make the sweater into one for a small child to wear.
