Absolutely, there's no difference to the cow whether it gets barbarically slaughtered for human comsumption or consumption by other animals. Would I like to see more humanity displayed towards animals in the slaughter-chain? Sure. Do I care whether it's killed for me or Fido? Nah, but if you'r gonna feed the animals, to hell with it, cut me off a steak or two while you're there - if it's gonna die anyway, why lose out on steak? If you're gonna ban it, then sure, ban it for everything over which we as humans have control, otherwise as you say, things still die and our own double-standard becomes vividly apparent.

In nature, preditors go and kill their own food, there isn't a person there to slaughter for them. Humans have made animals like dogs become dependent on them and therefore the unnatural slaughter of food for them is necessary. But if the whole of humanity became vegetarian then the pets would either have to evolve to exist on a veggie or go back to the wild and hunt for themselves. Even if they were unable to go back to hunting for food, the next generation would and the balance of nature would be restored!

Modern cows are domestic animals, and as such, they would not exist had humans not bred them to suit their own purposes. If everyone stopped eating meat and dairy products, there would be no cows. They are not wild animals, and as such they need human care to survive. Sure, maybe there would be one or two in zoos, but I think it's unlikely we'll have wild cows roaming around the British Isles. They would make a hell of a mess of your lawn....:)

That's why they sell vegetarian pet food. I know someone that fed their cat vegetarian food for all of it's 16 years of life. It was a happy and healthy cat.
In my opinion, humans were not meant to hunt. Cats have claws and sharp teeth to kill and eat animals... we do not, we have to "make" thing to kill the animal for us. Basically, it's not natural. There is evidence that suggests Adam and Eve were vegetarians. And it has been proven that people live longer with less health problems if they don't eat meat.
Just ONE person who is vegetarian saves the lives of 100 animals each year.

Mankind has debated this question for many years and has yet to find an answer which would end the debate. As for myself I'm staying omniverous. I didn't get to the top of the food chain just to eat vegetables.

MMMMMM Beef.....MMMMMM Chicken...........MMMMMM Pork and definetly MMMMMMMMMMMMMM Veal. Not much better than a baby cow on my plate.

This is a gay question and I suspect you're a gay liberal. I love pork-chops, leather shoes, and hot-dogs. You need to grow a pair of balls and try to impersonate a red-blooded US male. Allahu Akbar n' Shalom.
