SEC fans tend to think their conference is sooo awesome because they typically have a number of teams of similar strength (florida, tennessee, auburn, lsu) who beat each other up. But the computers tend to think the SEC is, overall, no better than other conferences. They're doing better this year than some other years per the computers:

Youre a moron. The SEC is BY FAR the toughest conference in college football. Proof? Everyone beats up on everyone else. That's why escaping with one loss is such a feat. Much less going undefeated. 2004 Auburn was truly one of the greatest teams in college football history. More Proof? Look at the bowl games. The SEC has 12 teams. 9 of them made it to a bowl

Bowl Teams: Florida, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina

Non Bowl Teams: Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vandy (and Vandy almost got one).
