Just start on some gen ed stuff and pick a major after your second year. Why are you stressing over this now? hang around some people that are working on a major and ask them questions about the majors that interest you.

overall, the choosing of a major is not going to totally affect your career. your focus as a major, for now, should be something that you could imagine finishing with strong feelings about, and staying interested in. if you can do well on any major, then the schooling you do after (if any) will be more career based.

i majored in english, but now work in Forestry. the english and essay writing did help in now that i'm productive in finishing reports, but it was Rennaisance and Medieval Lit i studied most.

so no big deal, pick something you could imagine studiyng for 2 years or so.

I think if you have to "decide on a major," you might want to either reconsider going to college or else get a clue with what you want to do with your life pretty quickly.

Otherwise, you'll wind up taking a bunch of dumb "liberal arts" courses and you'll wind up wasting a lot of time. I don't think that people who don't have a strong career path in their hearts and minds should go to college, a lot of the time.

I don't think those psycholigical tests or questionairres are going to help much if any, either.
