Try a Nautilus shell. It is well documented that the mathematic parameters form a "perfect spiral" along the same lines as "phi", the "golden ratio"

Sea Shell Spirals
Ivars Peterson

"The chambered nautilus is a sea creature that belongs in the same class as the octopus. Unlike the octopus, it has a hard shell that's divided into chambers. As the nautilus matures and grows, it periodically seals off the shell behind it and creates a new, larger living chamber. The shells of adults may have as many as 30 such chambers.

This growth process yields an elegant spiral structure, visible when the shell is sliced to reveal the individual chambers. Many accounts describe this pattern as a logarithmic (or equiangular) spiral and link it to a number known as the golden ratio."

Nice question. I have to absolutely agree with you for two reasons- the conch has the best shape for that, and two- it's the only seashell name I know of!

it really is authentic to an quantity. you'd be in a position to take heed to a speeding sound, yet it really is as a effect of the blood pumping by your head; the conch shell acts as a megaphone, amplifying it so that you'll listen "the sea."

A Conk shell is best for this. They also make good horns, with a low righ tone that can be heard for miles.
