I think you miss the point of why they are in the present day israel, because that is their home state!!
besides we have utilised all our 'wasteland' here in australia with the possible exception of a few thousand acreas of desert.

... cause the whole population of Israel is sure going to like giving up the country they've worked on building for 50 years up just like that, especially the place they never even DREAMED they'd get as a homeland - the promised land itself. Far better to call Israel to heel and stop them committing war crimes against their neighbours in front of the rest of the world, then maybe the Palestinians wouldn't be so incredibly outraged with them.

Unfortunately, everyone is likely to hear the same thing wherever the state of Israel is located. I just can't understand one thing: During many years, Jews lived happily in many countries. In general, with many exceptions however (but that is another matter) in many countries Jews were considered wealthier then anyone else. So why is it suddenly common among Jews to abandon their countries of birth and settle in Israel? I mean there are nice uninhabited places in Israel-why spoil it and turn it into one of the most overcrowded countries in the world?
