I mean I'm hispanic and everything. My parents and none of my family are controlling, but everyone keeps telling me that Hispanics are controlling...

Gosh people... it wasn't made to make anyone mad... this was just because I was thinking about dating one, and needed to see what I might be getting into before I did anything... SO don't be taking no offense to this.. I just asked for your opinion... Not your damn attitude...

I think when you have a question it should not be assumed to be a racist issue or an issue you are attacking one race in general. I have asked similar questions without the intention on insulting anyone, and I feel your questions was asked with the intention to address your concerns and not to insult the hispanic race in general.
Now to answer your question from my experience with my lovely latin exes they have been very controlling, but so have my Italian and black exes as well. I could a list names and you would never figure out their ethnicity I promise you.
But your general question is okay so don't worry about the others with whom you have pissed off.

No we aren't.
As with any culture, there are some who are and some who are not.
Irish and Italians also have this "Stereotype" which again, is not true for all.
Also, illegal immigration?
1) Hispanic does not equal Mexican.
2) Not all Mexicans are here illegally.
3) People born in Puerto Rico are US Citizens by birth.
Among many other facts.

Yes, alot of them are. Which is one of the reasons I'd rather date white guys, they're less anal, and more easy-going. Hispanic men tend to be more about the, "Where you been? Who are you with?I don't want you to go clubbing. You can't wear that. I don't want you to hang out with her. You're not at work, you f-ing someone else." drama. Don't get me wrong, I won't turn down a Papi Chulo, but I'll date a white guy over them any day.

the latinos have a culture of 'Macho'. they are the masters and commanders of family around them, especially women and children. they teach their children the same lessons, the are very posessive about women and family and lifestyle.
anything effecting this lifestyle they take personally.
and what i'm talking about here is the stereotypical either 'village' culture, and inner-city culture. the more rich have variations of this Macho, but it's still the same idea.

yes i have found that to be true (of the males anyway) my sister was married to one and of him and all his friends yes, also the way he raised his boys to be. so yes i would have to agree
