when you have blood drawn??

I used to look away and dam n near pass out, before I had my kids and had surgeries, now I watch them, and if they listen to what I tell them, they can hit the vein the first time. I have veins that roll, when they see a needle approaching, they run and hide.lol
When I was little, I used to swear at the doctor, I went to have a polio shot one time and my brothers and sister was with me, and I swore at the doc and one of my brothers swore that he would Never go to a doc with me again, and he never has. lol

I look away when the needle is being inserted & when it's being drawn out. I watch when the blood is being drawn.

I've never had blood drawn, but when I have a shot I look away.

I look away as the needle is going in then I watch as blood fills the vial.

I have to watch... I have to know why it's so painful. I have these tiny and deep veins. It generally takes several tries before an IV or any other needle can be put in right. (In fact, I generally have to have IVs in the wrist...). Nice phlebotemists will just stick me repeatedly. The mean ones will poke around INSIDE my arm with the needle until they find the vein they thought they had... I like to see what's going on so I can tell them when they need to stop... LOL...

Watch used to look away but now I'm used to it and watch them to make sure they do it right. Ha!

I watch. I suffer from a rare type of anemia that only hits people of Irish or Scottish descent so I watch to make sure my blood is thick and red as it should be.

I don't watch. When they are done I have to stay sitting. There has been times when I black out. In mine mind I just image the blood going out and it creaps me out...
