I am babysitting my 14 year old niece. Is the movie heathers okay for her to watch? It is Rated "R" but that was from 1989, and I dont know if that would seem tame now.

depends on the girl's parents and how smart the girl is, b/c there is quite a bit of cursing in that movie. i saw it when i was about that age and i loved it, offing the popular kids (symbolically) was an important theme at that time in my life and it was good to know that that idea was shared by enough people for there to be a movie made about it. so, i say, if the girl you're babysitting is smart and a bit awkward and if her parents aren't super christian or super republican, it's ok.

I seem to recall there was a lot of violence in it. And it's probably got some foul language. If you're babysitting, you might want to avoid it, so her parents don't turn around and ask you why their little girl is saying some bad word.

Just ask her parents. The movie has a lot of swearing if I can remember right, and a bit of violence... but not much. It's not gorey or anything. I think it's just the profanity and "adult content" that made it rated R.

Its a good movie, like original mean girls but with killing. If she still needs a babysitter then id say its not.
