Try to search for the extended life battery this will give you about 4-5 hours.

Laptop batteries are a little more forgiving since now docking stations are available and when you connect and disconnect you are charging the battery at random.

Batteries do not last forever. If you can afford a lapotp than you can afford a battery in 5 years. But you'll probalby buy another laptop since then.

You should definitely charge the battery completely and then run it down completely three or four times when you first start to use the battery. Doing this helps to make sure that you get the full battery life. I don't think it matters whether you leave the laptop plugged in all night.

It dose no longer matter anymore climate you leave your computing device plugged in or no longer. present day laptops now no longer use NyCad batteries which had 'memory' complications. present day computing device capacity vendors swap charging off once the battery is finished to dodge 'overcharge'. in the journey that your computing device is decrease than 6 years previous it truly is designed to be plugged in for days / weeks / months at a time. i visit also decrease back this up by own adventure. At paintings we've over three hundred laptops. most of the shoppers leave the computing device plugged in at the same time as they bypass abode and by no skill unplug it except they're vacationing out of state (for most computing device shoppers in my agency it really is many years). This 12 months we had to encrypt (federal regulation) each and each and every of the laptops interior the progression. We also took that probability to attempt each and each and every of the batteries and make confident the different updates were treated. by the end of that upkeep challenge we had got here upon 3 batteries that had to get replaced, one we did not even hardship replacing it. the computing device became 8 years previous and we despatched it to surplus.

You should have it plugged up whenever you're able to. This will prolong the life of the battery for whenever you're unable to plug it in.
