Should he tell his wife?

Like it will *never* happen again as he's normally allways a sensible drinker. It's just that the students were teasing him last night and telling him he had to stay longer, and he gave in a stayed [against his better judgement].

I would not tell, when people drink they don't know what , or who they are talking to, some years ago, I went to a party, my brother was there too, (he was so drunk) he tried to talk and pick me up, that's how drunk he was!
but to this day I never told him what he did at this party, I'm sure it would totally embarrass him if he knew.

Does he even remember the kiss? It's really up to his conscious whether or not he tells his wife. If he didn't mean anything by it, all should be fine. But if he tasted the fruit and wants more, there's a larger problem for them to deal with as spouses. Next time it seems his wife should be with him at parties. Why should she stay home while he has some fun when marriage is supposed to be about experiencing life together? As a friend, you should talk to him about it, see what he thinks, and vow to watch out for him if he ever gets a little too drunk again.

Don't mention it to his wife. Talk to him about it. Friends forgive friends for occasional stupidity, and a true friend will help a person avoid future mistakes of the same sort.

If it had developed into more than a kiss, you'd have a bigger moral dilemma.
